Algorithmic Trading Windows - Daily Kill-Zones & Sessions

1. Overview

The ICT-ATW is a high-performance precision tool designed for traders following Inner Circle Trader (ICT) concepts. It focuses on the crucial element of "Time and Price" by automating the visualization of specific algorithmic trading windows, daily session dividers, and critical opening price levels. Featuring an exhaustive and precise compilation of all known ICT Killzones and Opening Ranges, it is an indispensable asset for mapping institutional algorithms.

2. Logic

The indicator operates on a sophisticated time-tracking engine that synchronizes all data to the New York Time zone, ensuring that the visual representations perfectly align with real algorithmic cycles regardless of your local timezone.

2.1. Exhaustive Kill-Zones (KZ)
The script maps the exact duration of key market sessions. It dynamically builds Killzone boxes as the session progresses, strictly tracking the Highest High and Lowest Low achieved within the time window. Available Killzones include:
  • Asia Kill-Zone
  • London Kill-Zone
  • London Lunch Kill-Zone
  • NY Pre-Market Kill-Zone
  • NY-AM Kill-Zone
  • NY-Lunch Kill-Zone
  • NY-PM Kill-Zone

2.2. Exhaustive Opening Ranges (OR)
Opening Ranges capture the exact High/Low price action of the first few minutes of a specific session, establishing a range that often acts as critical support, resistance, or manipulation pools for the remainder of the day. Mapped Opening Ranges include:
  • ICT True Day Midnight Opening Range
  • ICT New-Day Opening Range (06:00)
  • Market Open Opening Range (18:00)
  • Asia Opening Range
  • EU Opening Range
  • London Opening Range
  • NY-KZ-OR (Opening Range)
  • NY-AM-OR (Opening Range)
  • NY-PM-OR (Opening Range)

2.3. Critical Price Levels & Internal Trace Lines
Within these timeframes, the script automatically plots deep structural markers:
  • Premium/Discount Zones: Accurately maps the Equilibrium (50%), Quadrants (25%), and Octants (12.5%) inside active Killzones.
  • Range Trace Lines: Automatically draws Open, Close, and Equilibrium (EQ) lines specific to the tracked Opening Ranges.
  • Institutional Opens (TOD): Midnight (00:00), 8:30 AM, and 9:30 AM.

3. Settings & Options

3.1. General Settings
  • Hide on Timeframe: Automatically hides the indicator on higher timeframes to prevent clutter.
  • Max Days: Controls how many days of historical data are kept on the chart.
  • Session Separators: Optional vertical lines mapping true day separators (NY-MO 18:00, GMT 19:00, Midnight 00:00, CST 01:00, IDL 07:00).

3.2. Kill-Zones (KZ) Options
  • Time Inputs: Fully customizable Start and End time selectors.
  • Visuals: Granular control over the line style, width, and colors of the background/borders.
  • Internal Measurements: Toggles for EQ, Quadrants, and Octants.
  • Labels: Customizable label text, sizing, and specific horizontal/vertical alignments.

3.3. Opening Ranges (OR) Options
  • Time Inputs: Fully customizable Start and End time selectors.
  • Extend Range: An option to project the Opening Range box infinitely to the right.
  • Structural Lines: Dedicated toggles to show the range's Open Line, Close Line, and EQ Line with independent styling options.

3.4. Market Opens (TOD) Options
  • Price Levels: Toggles for horizontal lines mapping 0:00, 8:30, and 9:30 opens.
  • Trailing Thick End: A dynamic feature that tracks the current live candle and leaves a stylized, thick trailing edge to easily spot the price level at a glance.

4. Under the Hood: Engineered for Performance

Built entirely from the ground up using the latest Pine Script™ v6 architecture, this indicator utilizes a highly optimized Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) approach to deliver a lightning-fast, reliable charting experience.
  • State Machine Architecture: Trading windows are tracked using custom type structures and dynamic methods, ensuring the script executes exceptionally fast while consuming minimal system memory.
  • Zero-Lag Rendering: Historical data calculations and visual elements (lines, boxes, labels) are strictly managed via a custom Garbage Collector. This guarantees a smooth, lag-free experience—even when deployed on the 1-minute timeframe with extensive historical data.
  • Clean-Room Execution: By utilizing native v6 matrix methodologies and O(1) execution models (avoiding heavy per-bar array iterations), the indicator's computational footprint is minimized.
