ICT-IPDA-IRP [P/D+SD] (IPDA Intraday Range Projections)

1. Overview

The ICT-IPDA-IRP is a highly advanced, purpose-built indicator designed around the Inner Circle Trader (ICT) concept of the Interbank Price Delivery Algorithm (IPDA). This tool focuses strictly on the IPDA True Day Range—precisely defined from Midnight (00:00) New York Time to 15:00 New York Time.
By defining this core session, the indicator projects Intraday Standard Deviations (SD) to accurately forecast and establish Premium to Discount (P/D) ranges and key algorithmic levels. With its "Project Range on Next Day" functionality, traders can seamlessly map out these levels forward into the upcoming trading sessions, gaining a definitive edge in their intraday charting.

2. Logic

2.1 Core Time Range Extraction
The default logic focuses on extracting the precise Open to Close boundaries of the 00:00 to 15:00 NY time window. The script is locked to calculate these metrics on a specified lower timeframe (Default: 1-minute), ensuring flawless precision. This prevents calculation errors or visual shifting when applying the indicator across different, unaligned chart timeframes.

2.2 Next Day Projection
The foundational logic of this tool is built for forecasting. When the projection feature is enabled, the calculated IPDA range levels are pushed forward, starting precisely at 00:00 (Midnight) of the following trading day. This creates an immediate mapping of the upcoming session's Premium to Discount range based on the true historical delivery of the previous day.

2.3 Standard Deviation (SD) Projections
Using the exact size of the true day range, the indicator calculates mathematical Standard Deviations Projections outward, to establish new P/D ranges in proximity range of the current traded price level. These measured moves also establish key liquidity pools, objectives, and dynamic support/resistance points for the asset.

3. Settings & Options

3.1 Master Controls
The settings panel is designed for maximum clarity, utilizing intelligent master-control toggles throughout the UI. When a master switch is turned off, all related sub-settings are dynamically grayed out. This keeps your interface clean, intuitive, and easy to navigate without being overwhelmed by visual clutter or options you aren't actively using.

3.2 Time Boundaries & Metrics
Users have full flexibility to adjust the base time limits of the core range (defaults to the ICT standard of 00:00-15:00 NY Time). Additionally, the indicator allows you to choose exactly which price metrics (Open, High, Low, or Close) are used to define the boundary starts and ends.

3.3 Equidistant Minimum Range Filter (E-MRF)
A completely unique and essential feature of this indicator is the E-MRF. Because calculating fractions of a range (halves, quadrants, octants) can easily clutter a chart, the E-MRF intelligently manages chart real estate and bypasses platform drawing limits.
  • It calculates the physical point distance between projected levels.
  • If the time-range is extremely narrow and the distance drops below your defined "Min Equidistance" value, the algorithm takes over.
  • It selectively hides the densest lines first (Octants). If the lines are still too tight, it removes Quadrants, and finally Halves (C.E.), resolving the issue of having "too many" or "not enough" lines, ensuring your chart remains pristine, readable, and highly optimized in all market conditions.

3.4 Standard Deviations (SD) Engine
The SD Projection suite features robust controls for both automated and manual charting:
  • Auto-SD: When enabled, the indicator dynamically analyzes real-time price action. As price approaches or breaches current SD extremes, it automatically generates and projects the next sequential standard deviation levels into the future. This provides infinite scalability without bogging down the chart.
  • Fixed/Manual SD: Turn off Auto-SD to manually plot a fixed, static number of SD levels from the time-range.
  • IPDA SD Selector: Allows you to pick and choose exactly which historical ranges you want SD lines rendered for. By inputting specific instances (e.g., {1} {3}), you can analyze current and past algorithmic behaviors simultaneously.

3.5 Line Extensions and Historical Data
The indicator provides deep customization on how lines are drawn across your screen.
  • Extend Lines: Control exactly how far to the right your IPDA and SD lines project. Options include cutting off at the end of the Session, End of RTH (16:15 NY), End of ETH (23:59 NY), or "Present", which continuously extends lines to the live, right-most candle on the chart.
  • History: Easily toggle how many previous historical IPDA ranges and their respective projections remain visible for backtesting and context.

3.6 Interactive Hover Tooltips
To maintain an ultra-clean visual workspace, granular details are hidden behind elegant interactive tooltips. By simply hovering your mouse over any range or SD label, a tooltip will reveal the Session Name, Session Times, Range Size, Range Date, precise Price points, and Fractional/Decimal Levels. This makes reading complex structural data an absolute breeze without permanently muddying your chart.

4. Under the Hood: Engineered for Performance

This script is built from the ground up using modern, highly optimized architecture to ensure blazing-fast load times and flawless execution, even with maximum historical data enabled.
  • Built in Pine Script v6: Utilizes the latest and most efficient rendering protocols available for modern charting environments.
  • Object-Oriented Architecture: Employs advanced User-Defined Types (UDTs) and Object-Oriented Code (OOC) to manage complex data structures, keeping the underlying code logic highly modular and deeply robust.
  • Advanced Resource Management: Implements reverse-looping rendering arrays and dynamic endpoint updating. This actively protects memory, navigates strict drawing limitation constraints gracefully, and results in a perfectly performant, lag-free charting experience.
